Friday October 11, 2024
Friday evening around 8pm is the embarkation on the Broedertrouw. The evening is mainly convivial and offers ample time for (renewed) introductions and sharing stories.
Saturday October 12, 2024
Getting up is followed by a substantial breakfast and the so-called Palaver. Around 9.00 we cast off. The Clipper Race will start at 10.00 with a so-called Anchorstart.
Sunday October 13, 2024
The second day of the race starts after breakfast and palaver, this time with a line start. Around five o'clock, all ships are back in and the prize-giving ceremony takes place.

By tradition, the Bontekoerace is the last sailing race of the season. On the last weekend of October, historic sailing ships compete one last time. To then enjoy after an eventful sailing year.

From 20:00, everyone can embark on the Broedertrouw in Hoorn harbour. The evening is there for (renewed) introductions and fun on board.
Saturday October 26, 2024
After breakfast, we will prepare the Broedertrouw for the race, which will start by 10:00 am. During the afternoon, depending on weather, wind and crew, we will be back in port. Later in the afternoon, the first results will be known.
Sunday October 27, 2024
Like yesterday, we prepare the Broedertrouw for the start after breakfast. Around 11:00 am is the start. Around 14.30 is the finish, again like yesterday depending on weather, wind and crew. Around 17.00 is the prize-giving ceremony. All in all, it seems like a lot of work, but this race is also a lot of fun. It will be a great end to the sailing season!
