The Oerol Festival on the Wadden Island of Terschelling is known as one of the most fun and unique theatre festivals in Europe. Since its first edition in 1982, it has grown into a true phenomenon. Every year in June, the island transforms into a stage for ten days, featuring theatre, dance, street theatre, visual arts, and music. The performances are either specially created for the festival’s unique locations or adapted to them. From grand spectacles to mime, from intimate musical theatre to hilarious circus performances, from Westerns to interactive installations – you’ll find them in the dunes, on the beach, in the forests, on dikes, in barns, and simply on the streets. And what could be better than experiencing all this up close while staying on a historic sailing ship?
Sail with the Anna Trijntje from Harlingen to Terschelling and stay on board this charming historic sailing ship. Located in the heart of West-Terschelling’s harbour, you’ll always be close to the festival! Stay for 1, 2, 3, or even 4 nights and, if you like, sail back to Harlingen after the fourth night. The choice is yours!
Book your stay for two, three, or four nights during the festival:
(*) A single-night stay is also possible (between Saturday, June 14, and Tuesday morning, June 17). The price is € 95 per person, including breakfast. You will board and leave the ship on Terschelling; ferry crossings from Harlingen to the island must be arranged by yourself.
The Anna Trijntje has 7 cabins, each accommodating up to 2 people, allowing a maximum of 14 guests on board. If you would like to book a private cabin, this is also possible (prices available on request).
