Spes Mea

The Spes Mea is a sea tjalk built in Groningen. A robust ship that used to serve as a sailing coaster. Nowadays, the Spes Mea still sails the sea a lot: the Wadden Sea. Departing from home port Harlingen, the Wadden Islands are almost around the corner.

Seals and mudflat walking

That means spotting seals, dry out on the shallows and walk the mudflat! Texel, Terschellign and Ameland are usually easy to reach. Schiermonnikoog needs more effort. Apart from wind, the tides are important. Sometimes a trip across Lake IJssel is a better choice. You discuss your wishes and the conditions together and make a nice sailing plan.

Comfortable traditional

Experience an amazing trip with this ship and her hospitable crew. The activities make you relaxed. Unwind in the great outdoors, where time has no meaning, in a traditional atmosphere with modern comfort.
