Spartivento
Would you like to explore the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea with your family, friends, colleagues, or students and be active together in a relaxed environment? Then consider the historic sailing ship Spartivento. The name means "Driven by the Wind" in Latin, and that’s exactly right! The ship has 8 sails and a sail area of 525 m², making it one of the fastest historical sailing ships in the Netherlands.
The enthusiastic crew would love to take you along. Sail to charming harbor towns on the IJsselmeer and Markermeer or enjoy the stunning flora and fauna of the Wadden Sea. This unique area is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for good reason. If the tide is favorable, you can experience the thrill of the ship running aground and go mudflat hiking – a truly special adventure!
No sailing experience is needed aboard Spartivento. There is something for everyone: on deck, there’s plenty of space to sunbathe, relax, enjoy, eat, and drink. And for those who like to be active, you are warmly invited to take part in sailing. Hoisting sails, steering the ship, tacking – it’s all possible!
Watch a video of the ship under sail here and the holiday feeling starts immediately ;-)
