The Orion is a robust sea tjalk, built in 1892. The Orion has been sailed for over ten years by her current owner, who works together with two regular mates. A lovely ship with a strong crew! The Orion combines sailing history with modern day comfort. The ambiance is nautic, both on deck as in the cosy saloon and the cabins. Authentic characteristics are spared as much as possible. Both the skipper and his ship mates grew up with sailing and water sports in general. Their enthusiasm is catchy! Enjoy full speed!

The Orion departs from the ambient harbour of  Monnickendam, only 10 kilometers away from Amsterdam-North. Get on board and enjoy the fresh air on this characteristic ship! Sailing past Volendam and Marken, a perfect start for a trip on the Lake IJssel or the Wadden.
