Chateauroux
Comfortable, robust and more than suitable for teamwork. That describes the Chateauroux. This beautiful ship is a sailing two-masted clipper barge, a flat bottom boat that was built in 1908. Once a cargo compartment, now a comfortable accommodation for passengers. The Chateauroux sets sail from the charming town of Enkhuizen.
Active sailing
The crew invites you to help sail the ship. Setting the sails, steering and navigating. Lots of hands are required to properly gybe. Teamwork! Working together on a sailingship makes you get to know each other in a different way. De transfer from living ashore to a temporary life on a boat often unleashes something. The wind makes the daily troubles quickly disappear.

Arse Staal
"As a teenager, I joined as a guest on a historic sailing ship, going on vacation without my parents for the first time. Some time later, I sailed on another clipper. I loved it and realized: this is what I want to do! For six years, I happily worked as a sailor until a captain told me: you have nothing more to learn, it's time to become a captain yourself.
I found it quite an exciting step, but I did it. That was many years ago now, and I'm still happy about it every day. I see it as a beautiful craft that is hundreds of years old. The extensive experience makes sailing relaxed, and I can enjoy the holiday atmosphere that my guests bring on board. I always say: I have seven months of vacation and five months of free time. I love being outside, one with the elements.
How do I describe myself as a captain? Relaxed and sporty. Does the group want to sail actively? Then we do that. Do they prefer to relax? That's fine too."
