Bonnefooi – for anyone who wants to experience sailing in a pure, active and natural way.
Step aboard the Bonnefooi, a characterful two-masted clipper from 1893, lovingly updated and adapted to meet modern comfort and safety standards. She’s a sporty, agile sailor and equipped with a range of additional sails for those who want to get even more out of their time on the water. On deck, there’s plenty of space to relax, help out, or simply enjoy the view. Because on the Bonnefooi we believe: the more you take part, the richer your sailing experience becomes.
Comfortable accommodation on board
Entering mid-ship, you step into the cosy saloon – a welcoming space with comfortable seating, tables, a small onboard library and a fully equipped galley. Around it you’ll find the comfortable cabins: five 2-berth cabins and two 4-berth cabins, each with heating, a private washbasin and a power outlet. Forward along the corridor are two shared bathrooms with shower, toilet and urinal.
Sailing the Zeeland Delta
From the home port Zierikzee, you sail through one of the most beautiful natural areas in the Netherlands. The Bonnefooi offers holidays the way they’re meant to be: free, relaxed and close to nature. And at the same time, you’re making a conscious choice, because travelling by sail is the purest form of wind-powered travel.
Experience nature with all your senses
On the Bonnefooi, we mainly want to show you how rich Dutch biodiversity still is. You might spot harbour porpoises swimming alongside, seals resting on a sandbank, and countless birds and shellfish species along the way. And Zeeland is something you can taste, too: the crew loves sharing stories about the edible plants and marine life that grow here, and they’re happy to introduce you to local flavours.

Paul Lansbergen
Paul Lansbergen (1992)
Paul komt uit Leiden, zeilde voor het eerst tijdens de familievakanties in Belt-Schutsloot en leerde in eerste instantie voor kok. Na de koksopleiding trok het avontuur van de zee. Een tussenjaar om als matroos op de bruine vloot te werken leek een goed idee. Dat tussenjaar is uitgegroeid tot een carrière van inmiddels bijna 15 jaar. Door zijn ervaring en zijn opleiding aan de Enkhuizer Zeevaartschool is hij inmiddels gecrediteerd schipper, stuurman en kapitein. Hij voelt zich het beste als hij buiten kan zijn, met zijn kop in de wind, maar kruipt ook nog regelmatig de keuken in.
Anna Dupon (1995)
Anna groeide op in Stadskanaal en zeilde al van kleins af aan met haar gezin op de Waddenzee en het Lauwersmeer. Ze ging woordkunst studeren aan de theaterschool in Antwerpen. Na die opleiding besloot ze weer te gaan varen, dit keer op een groter schip, op een zeilreis naar de Carieb. Tijdens die oceaanoversteek ontmoette ze Paul en sindsdien zijn ze meer en meer samen gaan varen. Op de Bonnefooi is er zowel ruimte voor creativiteit als buiten zijn, twee van haar favoriete dingen.
