Soeverein

The Soeverein (in English: the Sovereign) is an impressive replica of an East Indiaman from the 17th century. This was a trading ship belonging to the East India Company. The Soeverein has a majestic appearance, with her stern that rises five metres above the water surface. Furthermore, she’s particularly spacious. The remarkable ‘gadgets’ complete the experience; let those cannons make some noise!

Sail along

Departing form home port Lelystad, the sailing area’s are Lake Marker and Lake IJssel. In consultation you can depart from a different harbor. The crew is hospitable and likes to explain how to sail the ship. Want to help? If you’re interested, you will connect with the crew easily. But of course you will be taken care of during the sailing trip and it is the perfect opportunity to enjoy good company on an amazing ship!

The good old days
The interior of the Soeverein brings you back to the good old days. The atmosphere is nautic and cosy, with lots of woold, copper and chandeliers. There’s plenty of room to relax, eat, confer and have drinks at the bar.

There’s room for 150 guests. It is convenient to make it a multi-day trip? That’s possible; there are 44 beds. The cabins are comfortable and well equipped with their own sanitary facilities. Even a bridal suite is available too on this magnificent ship!
