The tjalk Pallieter dates from 1899, with the South Sea as former sailing area. Because of the open location back then, the ship was built seaworthy and fast. Pallieter means ‘bon vivant; he who ceases the day’. Today the Pallieter is a very comfortable sailing ship with spacious 2-person cabins, a cosy saloon and a magnificent galley. You’re more than welcome!
Business & Pleasure
The Pallieter is suitable for groups up to 12 persons, for example for a management meeting, team building trip or in the private atmosphere: a nice team with family or friends. Whether or not it ripples or storms: you sail together, guided by the crew and lead by weather and wind. These experiences makes a group becomes more close and the ambiance intimate.
Destination anywhere
From the harbour of departure Harlingen, the Wadden Islands are around the corner. This means lots of possibilities! Of course the Pallieter can dry out on the shallows. Or you can sail on the Frisian lakes or Lake IJssel.
The upper deck is divided practically, with lots of space for all guests. The day time are is completely redecorated a few years ago with lots of eye for ambiance and comfort.
