Nil Desperandum

The Nil Desperandum is a majestic three masted klipper that was built in 1894. She was used to transport goods like potatoes, peat and other bulk products. Several years ago, the Nil Desperandum was reconstructed to be a luxurious charter vessel. Since then, the ship sails from early spring until late autumn with guests that are in need of a relaxing, active sailing holiday.

The Nil Desperandum is well equipped and is sailed by a very enthusiastic crew. Skipper Jerke is known as a hospitable skipper. He likes to have contact with his guests and walks around the deck whilst sailing, making conversation.

Meet Jerke

At the Nil Desperandum, Jerke is your host and captain. If anyone's in for fun, it's this enthusiastic skipper. That's what he really stands for. 'Sociability, that's very important to me'. While sailing, he entertains your group with funny games. He cooks well and does so with love, so he likes to dive into the galley with you. A sailing trip with Jerke guarantees a happy time. At the same time he knows how to find all the beautiful spots on the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea.
