The fantastic sailing qualities, the luxurious salon and the comfortable cabins make the Isis perfect for sailing holidays. The Isis is built in 1892 and already survived many generations of skipper families. Many will follow. This beautiful ship has enough beds for 24 guests. Six cabins are for 2 persons, the rest is for four persons.
An unforgettable sailing trip
The Isis is run by a devoted skippers couple. Let all stress ashore and get carried away in the ambiance of bygone days. It’s amazing to feel how the wind blows away your thoughts and to have time for real attention for each other. That’s what sailing does. Add an amazing historical ship tot his, and all the ingredients are there for an unforgettable sailing trip.
Meet Arthur and Simone, the skippers couple
Some loves never truly fade. They wait patiently for the right moment to return to the water.
For Arthur, that life began early. As the owner of the single-masted tjalk Zwarte Haan, he spent years sailing the Wadden Sea as a charter skipper, building a successful charter business fueled by his love for sailing and the tides. Even after selling the ship, the water kept calling. Working as a nautical photographer and later as a project manager for ship refits, he continued to work with vessels, technology, and logistics, while the longing to sail was always there.
By his side is Simone, his partner of ten years. She gained extensive sailing experience aboard seagoing charter vessels on the Baltic Sea, where she made many voyages with her young family. Onshore, she found her calling as a primary school teacher, but her heart always kept beating for the wind and the water.
With the purchase of the two-masted clipper Isis, their experiences come together once more. Arthur and Simone look forward to welcoming you aboard to discover the beauty of the Wadden Sea — sailing with the tide, under full sail.
