After breakfast, the Elizabeth sails to the Ketelmeer. Begin your bike ride from Schokkerhaven through the ‘new’ land, including the former island of Schokland, and then onward to Vollenhove.
Day 5: From Vollenhove to Giethoorn (37 or 49 km cycling)
Cycle through open landscapes from Vollenhove to Blokzijl, entering the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, the largest freshwater wetland in Northwestern Europe. It’s a haven of tranquility for plants, animals, and visitors. Pedal through the park to Kalenberg and onward to Giethoorn, the enchanting “Little Venice of the North.”
Day 6: From Giethoorn to Lelystad
Spend the day sailing or relaxing on board—it's up to you. By midday, the Elizabeth arrives in Lelystad, the capital of Flevoland province. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Captain’s Dinner.
Day 7: From Lelystad to Blocq van Kuffeler (20 or 29 km cycling), then sail to Amsterdam
While in Lelystad, visit the Batavia Wharf, a shipyard showcasing maritime history from the Dutch East India Company era, or shop at Batavia Stad, a major outlet center. Today’s final bike ride takes you through the Oostvaardersplassen, a stunning nature reserve of forests, reed fields, and wetlands. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with fellow guests on board.
Day 8: Amsterdam
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the crew, the ship, and your fellow travelers. You’ll head home with unforgettable memories of this unique bike and sail holiday.
