The Ortolan, built in 1897 is a two masted clipper with an original line since 120 years. What does that mean? Many ships were once lengthened to be able to transport more freight. Later they were shortened, in order to restore the proportions. Luckily, the Ortolan was spared of these interventions. The name Ortolan is a derivative of Ortolaan, which is a breeding bird and long distance migrant.
Sail along!
The current Ortolan is a nicely sailing ship with lots of space on deck to relax and enjoy the sun, the view, a book or good company. The bulwark is high, which is safe! The day time area is timbered with lots of wood and even has a bar. There are 2, 4- and 5-person cabins, which makes it always possible to make a layout that fits for everybody.
What's the destination? From Stavoren you can literally go every way!
