The three masted clipper Oostvogel was built in 1898 and baptised as ‘Vijf gezusters’ (Five sisters). She was used as a towing vessel for freight between Rotterdam and Antwerpen. In the sixties the ship stopped sailing and was used as a houseboat. In the early nineties she returned on the water, adjusted to modern life standards and demands.
Relaxation
Sailing on the Oostvogel guarantees relaxation. The ship is sailed together with the guestst. The magnificent sitting area and deck, combined with the rustic mahogany interior and well supplied bar make sure that you can enjoy drinks and food after the sailing trip. Both on deck and in the day time area, you will be taken care of by our hospitable crew. During the trip you are invited to fill your plate at the buffet. Our buffets are presented in the bar saloon, where you can choose from our catering list.
