Gulden Belofte
A dream come true: a luxurious sailing ship to show people nature and let them enjoy the freedom of the wind. That describes the Gulden Belofte (in English: Golden Promise), a comfortable clipper that was built in 1911 and sails surprisingly well. The interior is designed in a way that guests can enter the sanitary facilities from every cabin. you can enter the shower and toilet from each cabin. Particularly convenient. The professional kitchen is equiped with luxurious appliances and a cosy bar with beer tap.
Relax and enjoy
Step out of the hectic normal life, actively sail or relax on the ‘fat boys’ on deck whilst enjoying the sun, see, wind, food and drinks. In short: be completely away. A unique aspect of the Gulden belofte is the spacious sitting area, where the complete group can sit and relax during the sailing trip or in the harbour.

Bertil Vermeulen
Meet Bertil
Bertil used to be a technical businessman. He worked as an interim manager with several companies and used to run an nighttime bar in Amsterdam. For years he has sailed around Greece, Croatia and the Cariben. Bertil is an excellent sailor with lots of craftmanship and a sense of humor. He also spent a lot of time on the Dutch waters. As a skipper on several ships, he visited almost every harbour around the South See.
He consciously has chosen the life of a skipper. He radically changed his life by realising his dream. “My dream was to have my own luxurious, well equipped clipper. With this ship we can bring people into nature to enjoy and feel the freedom of the wind”.
