Historical appearance, stable and especially equipped for daytrips. That’s the mighty Egberdina, built in 1882 and one of the five oldest sailing ships in the Netherlands that is still sailing. This mighty ship is suitable for sailing trips up to a maximum of 35 persons. Perfect for birthday celebrations, wedding parties or any other festive occasion. For businesses we offer highly appreciated company trips. The ship is meant for day trips, but a part of the day is also possible, for example an evening or afternoon.
A day on the ship
There’s lots of space on the upper deck to enjoy the silver of the waves, the endless space and the beautiful skies. Below deck you will find a stylish lounge, where you can enjoy a fine meal or fancy drinks. This ship sails as sharp as a yacht. That’s the reason why sea sickness almost never occurs. Want more action? That’s possible. You can navigate, hoist the 300 m2 sails and help the 70 ton weighing ship slice through the water. If you want, you can drop anchor to have lunch or dinner, or berth in the harbor or your choice. The ambiance is informal and the level of service high.Meet Wouter
“I am the
skipper and owner of the Egberdina. I’ve been sailing professionally for 28
years on large sailing ships. On board you are welcome to navigate the ship. Of
course, I can assist you when necessary.
I know a lot about sailing and nature on and around the IJssel Lake. In wintertime I teach ‘sailing’ at a maritime academy in Enkhuizen. I love to talk about sailing, navigating or the nature all around us. Every now and then I share a few fisherman’s tales too.
